Welcome to the Activities page of ASHRAE Technical
Committee (TC) 5.2, Duct Design.
TC5.2 actively pursues the expansion of the current duct fitting
database to help the HVAC designer accurately predict duct system
losses for energy efficient operation. Currently the TC is working with
a private software developer to create a new, Windows-based program
utilizing the premier T-method.
The Committee sponsors Research Projects, which are a way to further
knowledge in our field.
We provide valuable assistance in writing and revision of those
chapters in the Handbooks for which we are responsible.
We often sponsor one or more Seminars at the Society National Meetings.
This is a good opportunity to let others know what TC5.2 is doing.
Finally, we are also involved in the writing and revision of standards.
The subcommittee meetings are where the action is, so plan to attend.
It's a great opportunity for TC members to become more closely involved
with the activities of the Committee.
